Following the directions of her father, Samantha Hawkshadow tries to track down an old friend of his, John Hades. Little does she know, she's walking into a mystery as old as mankind.

After a narrow escape from a squad of high-tech, alien-soldiers, Hades and Samantha board an advanced aircraft and attempt to find his brothers. They find Osiris in the Arizona desert and Anubis dealing with some nscrupulous gentlemen in New Orleans.

Hoping to contact their peopl, the four make their way to a tropical lake under the ice of Antarctica, only to find that they have run into the same high-tech soldiers.

Hades and his brothers reunite with their people, but their home coming is less than welcome. after a good ol' knock-down-drag-out, Triton, the leader of The Elysian, explains that they too have been attacked by the dark soldiers. He also tells them that a reasearch team made up of Triton's wife, Samantha's father, and Hades' kid-sister, were kidnapped from an outpost on an alien world.

Reaching a truce, The Elysian prepare to retake their outpost and save their family. Samantha watches as the team vanishes into a dimensional gateway to the parallel earth, Terra'Dek, and unimaginable danger.

Hades and the team fight to regain control of the Terra'Dek outpost, but they soon find that the battle is just the beginning. The Elysian must travel deep into the Terra'Dek desert to find the Gatherers. Only with their help can The Elysian hope to reach the kidnapped team in time and stop a threat to Terra'Dek and Earth.

Hades and the team infiltrate the Nosferate complex in an attempt to rescue the reasearch team and discover the origin of the dark soldiers. But, the team will find more than they expected, when they come face-to-face waith an enemy though long dead. Will the team be able to escape and warn the rest of The Elysian?
